17th Februar 1943, U-201 mit U-69 wurden angeordnet, das in Richtung Westen Geleit ONS165 abzufangen. Mit Kraftstoff niedrig U-201 wurden schließlich gezwungen, aufzutauchen, folgend einem Wasserbombenangriff und rammed durch den Zerstörer HMS Ruhm.
